May 2025 Tournament Recap Lake Toho – Southport Ramp | May 31, 2025

Despite battling torrential thunderstorms, relentless rain, and heavy winds, North Tampa Bass Club anglers showed true grit at the May tournament on Lake Toho. As the storm clouds cleared and the weigh-in began, a few exceptional bags rose above the rest.

Taking 1st Place with an astonishing 23.66 lbs, the father-and-son duo Jason and Peyton Bronson not only secured the win but also made club history. Their bag is now the largest ever weighed in at a North Tampa Bass Club tournament!

Anchoring this massive catch was a 7.67 lb giant, landed by Peyton Bronson, earning him Big Bass honors for the event. At such a young age, Peyton is proving himself to be a rising star in the sport—keep an eye on this name; you’ll be seeing it again.

2nd Place went to Dale Waggoner and Matt Caldwell with a strong 17.25 lbs, while Dennis Lewis and Anthony Quintana rounded out the top three with 15.32 lbs.

It was a highly competitive tournament, with tight weights across the field—proof that Lake Toho was on fire, even in tough conditions.

Great job to all who braved the weather and made it a memorable event. Tight lines until next time! Check them out North Tampa Bass Club.
